Preschool Stuff

I just got a few of the items that I ordered for Rose's preschool (K-4) next year. Honestly, this time of year when I start ordering stuff and getting it in the mail is one of my absolute favorite parts of homeschooling. It's so fun to open those boxes!

So far I have....

A few inexpensive card games, from Rainbow Resource to help her learn some basic stuff....

An easy handwriting book....

A few views of the inside of that book....

There are some basic tracing activities...

 Beginning capital letter formation....

 Letter matching activities...

And  lowercase letter practice....

Incidentally, this book is out of print on Amazon, but Rainbow Resource Center carries it. I also ordered the CD that goes along with it, but I haven't listened to that yet.

We also recived a couple of Kumon workbooks, which are always a hit...

The mazes start out super-simple...I forgot to take pictures of later ones, but they do progress gradually in difficulty....

The cutting book also progresses in difficulty from the super easy...

To more challenging....

Several of the activities, like the two above, actually make a little craft or paper toy when the kids cut them out.

More pictures/reviews to come as I sort and start planning! I have started plugging lessons into my Scholaric Planner and I have to say I really, really like it. This week has been a bit crazed so I haven't had as much time to play around with it as I'd like, but I look forward to getting more subjects entered and learning to use it.

Till next time!
